Background
For this project, I redesigned the book cover for In Five Years by Rebecca Serle. My primary objective was to convey depth by using lines and icons to represent significant life events that the main character experiences throughout the story.
Design Approach
I created the design using vector graphics, incorporating lines and icons to symbolize the
metaphorical path of life events. The curved lines flow through the title, adding visual depth and connecting the character’s present self with her future self five years later. This design serves as a metaphor for long-term life planning, something that resonates with everyone.
