This 4-week project focused on designing a user-friendly platform to help rural community members prevent and reduce substance use and disorders. My core objective was to create an accessible system that streamlines the process of finding support. By focusing on a clear and intuitive user experience, the design aims to remove barriers and increase access to critical resources for those in need.

REFLECTION

Crafting an empathetic experience to connect users with care.

I approached this project with an empathy-first mindset, focusing on creating a safe and accessible digital space. Inspired by the calming clarity of health and wellness platforms like Headspace, I aimed to build an interface that feels intuitive and trustworthy. To achieve this, I implemented a structured, card-based system heavily influenced by Google Material Design, which allowed me to simplify complex information into digestible, easy-to-navigate modules. This project challenged me to translate complex user needs into a design that not only improves usability but also removes barriers to critical care for rural communities.
